En Dining, Plaza Indonesia is just a good choice to "end" your day

"'EN' Emulates a celebration for life, a gathering place and fate, all in perfect harmony."

That is actually the real philosophy of "En Dining". As a Japanese-food-fan and a not-so-tiring-worker, we decided to find a perfect harmony in "En Dining" foods.

As we walked in, the cheerful waiter greeted us and asked us where to be seated. We actually chose for non-smoking area. The first area, which is the smoking-area, is a great place, with the combination of pale-orange, yellow and brown, it feels... warm and comfort. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos, I probably fell with the warm and comfort atmosphere.

Then, we seat at the half-round table and start ordering our a-lot-of-food-for-three-people. I happened to take photos around the non-smoking-area.

Like 2 minutes, the waiter came and handed us the menu. Well, the menu is quite in a normal form, like a book with hard cover and a simple logo of "En Dining". Here's the picture of the menu...

(You might find there's a lot of photos that using "Smitter Spoon" mark, it is marked the originality of the photos, I didn't put the mark on the photos earlier, my bad. However, even I am not a professional photographer, I love to keeping up with food's photo originality by Smitter Spoon).

We were too excited to try this warm and comfort restaurant, while we ordered other foods, le me just ordered Edamame and Wakame Salad, these 2 (two) signature dish of appetizer are always on our "must-eat" list.

1. Edamame (22K)

En Dining's Edamame is just... salty at the top (you can see there is a salt over the top) and a bit insipid. The good thing is they served this one, warm. Like fresh from the stew pan.

2. Wakame Salad (49K)
Crispy Baby Sardine Fish & Seaweed Salad with Onion Dressing.

(Sorry for the blur photo). For this pricey salad, it is a slight portion. The dressing is just, standart. However, I love the one little thing they added, fried tiny anchovy (the Crispy Baby Sardine Fish). It makes the Wakame Salad crunchy and added different taste to the Salad.

After a while, another wave of food are coming...

4. Salmon Carpaccio (82K)
Salmon with the special sauce.

Beside the looks so beaut-eeeh, the Salmon's taste is so... dense. I actually would like to describe that like a... cream! It tastes creamy, creamy-salmon. The mayonnaise is so light yet lil' bit sour with the creamy-salmon. It is great to try. However, the sliced radish with chives are insipid and not really tasty in my tongue. So, I didn't eat the radish but the Salmon, well, went all to the bottom of my belly.

5. Anago (38K)

Salt Water Eel.

I ordered Sushi, according to Menu, this one is a "Must-Try" Sushi. It was my first time to try Salt Water Eel. They served it cold, I wondered if it was fresh from the cutting or not. However, it was not really great Eel-Experience for me. The eel is tasty just, regular. It is sweet because the soy sauce and salty at the same time. For the structure of the eel's meat in my tongue was just stuffed and really easy to chew.

6. Crunchy Roll (68K)

Prawn, Avocado & Tempura Flakes.

I have to add, Tobiko (on the top) and Cucumber (inside). This Sushi roll only has 3 (three) pieces of Sushi, not so big. It is really crunchy inside-out. Inside it has a lot of cucumber and outside the tempura flakes. The cucumber makes this Sushi tasted fresh and the prawn is just a good combination. They used soy-sauce to add this Crunchy Roll taste.

7. Skewer. Nasu (10K) & Tori Kawa Niniku (18K)

Eggplant & Garlic Wrapped with Chicken Skin.

The eggplant is just not... that tasty as the picture describes. It tasted, plain.

The Tori Kawa Niniku is much better, the chicken skin has a salty and crunchy sensation. The chicken skin wrapped, surprisingly, garlic (I didn't notice at the first time). The garlic was not smelly and it tasted like a nut. After a second bite, then I realized it is a garlic.

8. Okonomiyaki (58K)

Osaka Style Mixed Seafood Pancake.

For three persons, to reach this number 8, we trained our stomach so hard (lols). But, this is the one that we are waiting for! and yeah, worth it! It is not the best Okonomiyaki I've ever tasted but this one, as the Menu said, Must-Try! The pancake is well-cooked. Inside, the cabbage, prawn and octopus are crunchy, chewy, soft and tender. With enough sauce, mayonnaise and red ginger, it is just a complete combination.

9. Fruit Punch (29K)
Orange juice, guava juice, pineapple juice, soda, grenadine.

Of course, every great foods there is always a need of fresh drink! I ordered this, according to the waiters, the recommended drink, Fruit Punch. Well, it is so fresh and has the fruit pulp. It is not so sweet, so it is a good company for my aforementioned foods.

After that, we harmonize ourself with our full-belly. Well, at the end, En Dining is a good choice to "end" your day.
